transparente regenjacke mit stickereien - see-through embroidered raincoat

...

sooo...finally i am able to continue this blog...i did promise to open my closet quite a while ago, but kept on postponing it.

i was struggeling with the way i wanted to keep this blog alive...professional fashion shoots, step-by-step tutorials and useful hints would have been great...but i have to leave this for those, who are actually photogenic and have advanced sewing skills.

...as i only use simple patterns, which instructions i don't even read...i do amend the pattern a little bit to suit the mostly unique fabrics and my existing wardrobe.

the modell of this blog will be my tailor's dummy, which will be presenting my creations

...having actually dared to publish a tutorial before, i am starting with a variation of the stand-up collar sweater...a rain coat.

to create a jacket out of a sweater pattern, you simply have to cut two pieces out of the front pieces and you have to cut it wide enough to be able go close the jacket and to still have the same size as the original front piece.

...i could not make up mind whether i should line the jacket and if, which colour i should use...so i chose not do it at all, but to sew two similar jackets to wear underneath...an off-white one and a grey one.

...and this is what i got.
